The description shall be amended to read:

Large house, now nursing home. Built c.1600 for the Attwood family; refronted
and remodelled c.1820-30. Squared and coursed sandstone of c.1600 to ground and
first floors with C17 brick to third floor, all of which is colour-washed;
early C19 stucco to front and to right-hand wing; hipped Welsh slate roofs;
brick ridge and end stacks. L-plan with rear right wing. 3 storeys; 5-window
range. Projecting 3-storey entrance bay with Doric columns to portico set in
front of 6-panelled door. Hipped roof over bay window with three 15-pane
sashes; flat rendered arches over 15-pane sashes above and to left of porch,
12-pane first-floor sashes and 6-pane second-floor sashes. Left side wall has
6-light chamfered stone-mullioned and transomed first-floor window and 4-light
chamfered stone-mullioned second-floor window of c.1600 and 2 early C19 16-pane
sashes. Rear elevation has similar mullioned and transomed windows of up to 3
lights, blocked doorway of c.1600; early C19 sashes to rear right wing. Early
C19 2-storey, 1-bay extension with sashes to right, and 1-storey service range
to left. Interior: cellar of c.1600 built of coursed and dressed sandstone has
wood bressummer over open fireplace with bread oven, which suggests use of this
room as a basement kitchen of the late C16/C17 house. Rest of interior is early
C19, with moulded plaster cornices, panelled doors set in panelled reveals and
panelled room to left; large entrance hall has dog-leg staircase with stick
balusters, fret-cut brackets and wreathed handrail.

House. Early C19 with some mid-C20 alterations. Stuccoed brick with hipped slate
roof. Three storeys, deep boarded eaves, 2 plus 1 plus 2 windows: glazing bar
sashes on second floor of 6 panes. Full height central projecting porch. Ground
floor with 2 15-pane sashes to left, square bay window to right; entrance has 2
engaged Doric columns and moulded cornice.
