C18 remodelling of former jettied building. C19 additions. Rendered and grooved
as ashlar on 1st floor, ground floor rubble. 2 storeys, on segmental-barrel vaulted
cellar. 2 hipped dormers in pantile roof. 1st floor has 3 glazing bar sash
windows in plain architraves, the 2 left hand ones paired. Left bend portion and
end-elevation to King Street has 1st floor overhang with timber-framing (C20
applied timbering but incorporating original 3 light ogee moulded wood mullion
window). Angled end elevation also has applied timbering, it has a steeply
pointed stone-tiled roof with hipped semi-dormer. Rendered and battered return
with 2 wall chimneys. Modern shop front.
Prominent and picturesque. Interior altered.
