Gentle Street is a sloping and slightly winding pedestrian street paved with
stone setts. No 1 is C18 rendered with ashlar plinth, side piers and dressings.
Modern pantiles. 2½ storeys with central dormer. 3 windows, glazing bar sashes in
reveals. Flush panelled door under flat moulded hood on cut brackets. 1 range
of glazing bar sashes in gable end and basement window. 3 storey rubble cottage
extension to rear. 3 windows, glazing bar sashes on 2nd floor, one pair of
glazing bar casements on 1st floor. Central door with wooden lintel, 3 light oak
framed casement to left (possibly once with moulded mullions). Later projecting
2 storey pantiled extension to left.
