1860 by A G Habershon and Pite. Yellow brick, flush stone
dressings, steep slate roofs and red tile steeple. Early Gothic
style. Cruciform plan with polygonal apse. Lancet windows in
ones and twos surmonted by oculi. Hood moulds with figured and
leaf-carved stops. Triad of windows on W end. Stepped
buttresses all round. Porch on N side has moulded arch and
engaged shafts. Clock Tower behind porch has square lower stage
and octagonal upper part with slatted bell vents. Undivided
interior, almost unaltered. Trussed rafter roof and leaf-carved
corbels. Octagonal font below W window. (Persner (1977) ).
