Cottage. Early Cl7, mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations and additions.
Timber-framed, painted brick infill, brick replacement walling, plain
tiled roofs, external brick stack at left gable end and large external
brick stack at rear. Three framed bays; single storey and attic with
dormers. Framing: three square panels from sill to wall-plate, long
straight braces in lower corners, collar-and-tie-beam truss with queen
struts in left gable end; right gable end rebuilt in brick. Front elevation:
two 3-light casements and one 2-light casement, two gabled dormers with 2-
light casements, lean-to glazed timber-framed porch runs across right end
bay enclosing the 2-light casement, and to left of it, a C20 plank and
battened door; attic lights in gable ends. Interior not inspected. C20
flat-roofed and gabled wings adjoin at rear. Attached to the right gable
end is a Norwich Union fire insurance mark.
