Public House. Late C16 or C17, extended and altered in C18 and C19. Timber frame on ground floor brick, cased and roughcast. Extended in red brick, colourwashed. Tiled roofs. L plan of three bay and two bay ranges. Two storeys. Bracketed hoods to entrances in inner angle of L with C19 casements and sashes. Left gable end to road with plat bands, a small blind window and an extruded stack to rear rebuilt in C19 with an oversailing cap.
C19 addition to rear has a panelled door with a bracketed hood, ground floor three light segmental headed window, first floor two light window, hipped roof. Gable end of original wing to right has a nine pane sash on ground floor, first floor two light casement, exposed plates and purlins. Continuous outshut to rear with a large C17 stack with a C19 cap. Weatherboarded outbuilding on gable end and further C19 lean-to additions.
Interior: ground floor stop chamfered binding beam, original stack between two right bays of left range has been truncated but large chimney breast remains, exposed posts, cambered tie beams, queen struts to collars clasping purlins.
