farmhouse

Aisled barn. C16 or earlier. C20 machine tile roof, half hipped
on ends. Weatherboarding. Gabled projection on centre NW side.
5 timber frame bays. Aisled construction is virtually intact.
The principals have passing braces from the wall posts to the tie
beams, crossing horizontal ties from the wall posts to the
principals. Tie beams with long curved braces. In the NW aisle
2 passing braces on the W side are missing. All construction
above the wall plates is C20.
