Cottage. Probably mid-to late C17 with later additions and alterations.
Roughcast timber frame to rear and painted brick to front; rubblestone to
right gable end and rendered to left. Asbestos sheet roof. One storey
and attic; apparently of 2 or 3 framed bays. Early C20 canted bay
windows to left and right of segmental-headed 4-panel door to left of
centre; C19 segmental-headed fixed-light window to far right. Three
mid-C20 flat-roofed dormers in bottom of roof slope. Prominent rendered
external end stack to left and integral end stack with C19 red brick shaft
to right. Interior: full inspection not possible at time of resurvey
(August 1986) but left ground-floor room noted as having chamfered spine
beam and heavy joists. Included for group value.
