Barn. Mid-to late C17, eaves raised early C19 and extended late C19 or
early C20. Weatherboarded timber frame with roughly coursed limestone
rubble to right gable end; corrugated iron roof. Doorway roughly to
centre with eaves hatch immediately to left and another hatched opening
to right. Interior: framing visible: square panels, 3 from cill to
original wall-plate with one wide rectangular panel above. Long straight
tension braces to bay divisions. Woven infill to 3 panels in back wall.
Single-purlin roof in 3 bays with raking struts from tie beams to principal
rafters and queen-strut truss to original left gable end. Late C19 or
early C20 addition to left is not of special architectural interest.
Occupies a prominent roadside position.
