Formerly known as Stebbing Dairy Farmhouse. Late C15, considerably altered.
Documents confirm date of original building. Timber frame hidden externally
by colourwashed plaster. Tiled roofs. 1 storey and attics, sash windows.
2 storey C19 wings in pale yellow brick. Interior: late medieval 2 bay hall
with lofty crown post roof, 1 bay 2 storey service end. There may have been
a solar end which the C19 parlour addition destroyed. Early C17 Ist floor and
chimney. 1 bay may have been floored earlier.
