Barn. Later C17. Timber frame weatherboarded on a brick plinth,
with steep pitched roof now of corrugated iron. Tall 8-bay barn
facing S with 2 gabled porches, in 3rd bay from each end. Heavy
unjowled posts, long curved braces to tie beams. Butt-purlin
roof with rafters tennoned into the single purlin in each slope.
Purlins jointed in-line. Curved queen-strut trusses of wide span
(about 7m) without collars. Double doors on N opposite porches.
