c.1840 refronting of late C16 or early C17 timberframed dwellings. Yellow stock brick
with stone dressings, old red tile roof. Two storeys of 6 windows, originally three
2-window houses. End and centre windows flanked by plain brick pilasters. Two ground
floor arch-headed doorways and one later C19 wooden, architrave-surround door with
bracketed cornice. Sash windows. Exposed timber frame inside mostly at west end,
which also has scratch moulded oak panelling in ground and first floor rooms. Mid C19
yellow stock brick extension to rear of west end with large ground and first floor
sash oriel bay.
