Farmhouse, now a private house. C16 or earlier open hall house with E
crosswing, floor and chimney inserted in hall c.1600 and building
renovated, brick casing of front in late C19, convincing traditional
timber framed NW rear wing C20 incorporating older stair tower. Timber
frame cased in painted brick. Exposed timber frame of C20 rear
extension. Steep old red tile roofs, hipped to single-storey extension
at E end. A 2-storeys, 3 windows long house facing S. Gabled E wing
projects out to rear. Large internal chimney a third from W end with
lobby entrance plan. 2-light casement window on each floor to left of
entrance and 3-light casements to right and to wing. Interior has
exposed timbers. Clasped-purlin roof on collars with long curved
wind-braces. Straight tension braces in walls. Moulded plank doors.
Ovolo moulded windows inserted in place of older ones c.1600.
