Farmhouse, formerly village inn. C18. Lias stone fine ashlar; clay pantiled roof between coped gables; stone chimney
stacks. 2 storeys with attics, 4-bay east elevation, of which the outer bays are gabled projections. 16-pane sash
windows in plain openings, including attic gable windows; that to lower bay 1 larger in scale, to lower bays 2 and 3
French doors to match. Entrance on north side with timber and tiled porch, with a long extension to match on the rear
north west corner. Interior not seen; said to have cellars cut into the bedrock. (Burden, J. Winging Westward, 1974).
