Short section of wall and gate pier approximately 5 metres to north of Longner Hall

Wall and gate pier. Circa 1803, by John Nash. Red sandstone ashlar.
Tudor Gothic style. Approximately 6 metres long and 4 metres high. Plinth,
and string course to battlemented coping. 2 chamfered recessed Latin crosses
to front flanking central chamfered-arched doorway leading to lean-to at rear.
Octagonal gate pier to left; has battlemented parapet to pyramidal cap with
globe finial. Humphry Repton landscaped the grounds at Longner circa 1803-4
and his Red Book is kept in the house.
