SJ 30 SE

L-shaped barn approximately 40 metres south east of Habberley Hall

L-shaped barn. Early C19. Red brick, plain tile roof. L-plan with gable to left. Two levels with additional loft to gable, dentilled eaves cornice; scattered openings, one eaves hatch to main range with ventilated openings directly beneath and below to right, door to left, all with segmental heads; gable has a hatch to each floor, also all with segmental heads; inserted door to left; twenty-two rows of air vents from apex of gable to ground floor. Long range at right-angles to rear has blocked former threshing entrance with weatherboarded gable above. Later C19 farm buildings attached to north and south are not included.

Forms a focal point in the village topography, mid-way between the church (q.v.) and Habberley Hall (q.v.). Included for group value.
