7/55 Steps Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. Circa 1600. Roughcast, thatch, 3 brick stacks. Single storey and attic, 3 bays, 3 and 4-light ovolo-moulded
wooden-mullioned windows except 2 C19 casements on first floor; first floor windows under bonnet hoods. Door opening
between first and second bays, moulded wooden frame, plank door; flight of 10 stone steps up to door, some renewed in
concrete, iron handrail. Interior with fireplace with a broad wooden lintol; roof with 2 jointed crucks. (VAG report,
unpublished SRO, January 1981).
