Inn and house, now doctor's surgery and shop. Inn C17 with C18 front, house probably
early C19. Of stone, partly rendered, painted white with Welsh slate roof and stone
ridge and east end stacks. Three storeys. Inn: 3 windows wide. Quoins. Central
throughway with moulded shouldered architrave and cornice over. C19 canted bay window
and door in moulded architrave to left. Part of late C19 shop front to right.
Moulded band between ground and first floors. First floor has panel carved with
unicorn and sundial flanked by 6/6 sash windows. Second floor has 3/3 sash windows.
House: Two windows wide. Quoins. Ground floor has late C19 shop front. First floor
has full-length 9/6 sash windows in raised architraves with keystones. Second floor
has 3/3 sash windows in raised architraves. Wing to rear of inn of 2 storeys divided
by moulded string. Two 4-centred arched doorways, now windows, with window to right
and to left, now door. Two 3-light ovolo-moulded mullioned windows above. Blocked
2-light cellar window. Interior: staircase reusing barley-sugar and turned balusters.
