House. C14 open hall with C16 alterations and rear kitchen
wing. Timber framed and plastered, long straw thatched hipped
roof with gables. Rebuilt red brick ridge stack and painted
brick rear stack. Two storeys. Four first floor and three
larger ground floor casement windows. C18 six-panelled door in
lobby entry position. Original hall of four bays with steeply
cambered tie beams, tie beam to left hand bay with trenches for
passing braces. Rafters, smoke blackened, in situ with
exception of those in centre two bays possibly resited when
chimney was inserted. Crown posts, collar purlins and collars
also removed at this time. Two windows with diamond mullions.
Evidence at ground floor for wide parallel braces.
