House, now two dwellings. Early and late C16 and C17. Recently
restored. Rendered timber frame, reused local brick; plain
tile roofs with red brick stacks. Early C16 central
cross-gabled range, two storeys, with later jettied extension to
east including earlier storey posts; range to west of two
storeys and attics. Fenestration modern, jettied facade to
street with two casement windows without glazing bars. Main
entrance to No. 5 in modern flat roofed, painted brick extension
to north. Interior. Exposed timber frames and stop-chamfered
ceiling beams. Back to back hearths contemporary with range to
street and including some medieval Barnack stone inserted into
east wall of earlier cross-wing.
