SU 43 SW SPARSHOLT DEAN

1/19 Barn Cottage

Cottage. C17 with C18 barn attached and C20 additions. Timber-frame with
flint and brick encasing and additions and barn weatherboarded. 1½ storey
with 2 C17 bays with 2 bay barn to right and 2 C20 bays added to left. Doors
in left end of barn, which has been rebuilt in brick, and at left end of C17
part. 2 2-light casements in C17 bays and similar in left bays. Wide
5-light eyebrow dormer in C17 part with small dormers each side. Roof hipped
with ridge piece and stack at left end of C17 part and right of door in barn.
Barn once village forge.
