Octagonal walled garden with animal engine house attached. "Late C17 and
C18. Brick walls, timber scantling with brick infill and plinth, slated
roofed building. Octagonal garden wall enclosing a hectare, 3 m high with
stepped brick coping. Brick piers to gateways on E and W and late C20 gate-
way to N. Engine house single storey 3 bay with C18 windows and door.
Massive timbers inside with vertically set shaft 5 m long, from which a bar
descends at an angle of 45 degrees. 2 struts support bar. The end of the
bar carries a swingle tree for the harness.
