Country house now divided into tenements. C17 core, remodelled C19, C20
alterations. Rendered sandstone rubble and brick with slate-roofs,
decorative brick shafts to stacks. L-plan with main range aligned north-
west/south-east facing south-west, rear wing extends to north-east, main
axial stacks toward north-west and south-east of main range with lateral
stack to rear, further axial stack to rear (former service) wing, former
main entrance to centre of south-west front. Two storeys, attic and cellar;
south-west front: two gabled bays flank narrow central bay, C20 windows in
gables, two 3-light mullioned and transomed windows to left and one similar
window and a 4-light window to outer bay to right of central 2-light window,
left outer window projects on moulded base with pointed arch-headed doorway
below with French casements, right outer bay with canted bay window. Mock
timbering in gables with decorative bargeboards. Window to left return
possibly of C17 date. Interior inaccessible.
