Orangery and garden walls. Mid-C18. Brick with brick tile coping and old
plain tile roof. Orangery single storey 3 narrow bays of central round-
headed sash with small doors below and each side tall 8-pane sash, all with
rusticated timber architraves. Roof hipped with stack on left hip. Inside
C18 panelling including fireplace with cupboards either side and coved
ceiling. Wall to house 3 m high, with brick pavior coping and later buttres-
ses. Wall from orangery to front wall 1½ m high in garden, 4 m high in
road, with brick pavior coping, some 20 m long. Orangery reputedly where
Benjamin Franklin wrote his autobiography.
