C17 and later. 2 storeys. Stucco with slate roof. Shallow gabled wing
on Right Hand of front with projecting upper storey. Band across bottom
of gable and above a panel with "The Plough, RD 1876". There is a small
carving of a man with a plough in the centre. On left hand of wing in the
door is an old round headed oak frame. Gabled wing at rear has long timber
wall plate exposed. A passage runs through the house. RCHM 43.
