House. C18, or earlier, altered mid-C19 and mid-C20. Sandstone rubble
with slate roof. Two bays aligned north/south and large external rubble
chimney at south end with offsets and small rebuilt brick stack. Two
storeys, East front elevation: there is a C19 ground floor casement of
three lights and two first floor C19 casements of two lights. C20 lean-to
outshut adjoins northern bay which has two casements in its east elevation
and the main entrance and a right side light in the angle with the main
range. There is also a lean-to porch to the front of the external chimney
which has a ledged and battened door within. There is recorded to be an
original window with diamond mullions at the rear. (RCHM Herefs II, p 16,
item 21).
