Description


TIBBERTON CP FOREDRAUGHT LANE (east side) SO 95 NW 6/208 Black and White Cottage GV II House. Mid-C17 with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations. Timber-framed with painted brick and rendered infill, plain tiled roofs. Three framed bays aligned north-west/south-east with an additional larger framed bay at the north-west gable end; external chimneys at gable ends, the north-west one has a detached stack and probable lean-to bread oven, the south-east one has had its stack removed. Single storey and attic with dormer. Framing: three panels from sill to wall-plate, long straight braces in lower corners of north-west bay, collar and tie-beam trusses with struts. Windows are mainly 2-light casements. South-west front elevation: ground floor of main part has two windows, a small C20 rectangular light and a window beneath the eaves to a probable stair landing; gabled dormer to left and ledged and battened door to right; north-west bay projects, has a ground- floor window and a lean-to C20 porch in angle with main part and a C20 door. Attic lights in gable ends. Interior not inspected. Outshut to rear left of main part.
