SU 9949NE GUILDFORD HIGH STREET (South Side) 5/113 1/5/53 No. 202

GV II House, now shop. C18 with older core, altered in C20. Whitewashed stucco and dark tiled mansard roof swept out to eaves and end on to street. Three storeys and attics with stacks to right and rear. Plat band over ground floor and modillioned eaves above. Flat-roofed sash dormer in roof, canted bay rising through first and second floors with one 12-pane sash window in each face of the upper floor under keystoned heads. Plate glass sash windows on the first floor under modillioned band. C19 square bay centre shop front with panelled end piers and acanthus leaf decoration on the blind box over. Door to right.
