House. C16-C17 core, much altered C18 and early C19, with C19 wing to left.
Older parts comprise a main range with 2 gabled additions set forward to the
right, the outer one a full cross-wing. Timber framed and plastered; small
traces of old plaster panels. Plaintiled roofs. 2 storeys with small attic.
Scattered fenestration: good early C19 casements with ogee heads to the
lights, many of the windows retaining square-leaded glass. Lobby entrance:
gabled porch with C20 battened plank door. Within the porch a 2-panel door,
perhaps of c.1700. Semi-circular headed boarded door in C19 wing. 2 internal
stacks, the smaller shaft to the right probably of C17 date. Remains of
medieval moat.
