3/127 Hill Farmhouse

II

Farmhouse. Late C17 origin with C18, C19 and early C20
alterations and additions. Rubble with some render, stone
dressings and gabled stone slate roofs with 3 stone stacks to main
range and one tall stone stack to left addition. Irregular Z-
shaped plan formed of main L-shaped block and early C20 wing to
south-west corner. Main block of 2 storeys with scattered C18 and
C19 sash fenestration: 12-pane,16-pane and tripartite sashes
South front has canted sashed bay with stone slate roof to right
and large hipped porch on circular stone piers to left. C20 wing
is of 2 storeys and attic with 2-light casement fenestration.
North front has C20 shell-hooded doorway with glazed door.
Interior: dog-legged staircase with square newel posts and turned
balusters.
