House. C16/17 and early C18. Coursed limestone rubble with brick dressings;
thatched roof with brick ridge stack. 2-unit plan extended C20. One storey
plus attics. Symmetrical 2-window front with plinth: Plank door flanked by
renewed 3-light casements under flat gauged-brick arches with 2-light dormers
above. 5-course brick quoins to all openings and returns. Left gable-wall
partly rebuilt in C19 brick but has C16/17 two-course brick quoins at rear.
C20 rubble and concrete-tiled extension to right. Interior: Open fireplace
with chamfered and stopped bressumer and flanking renewed winder-stair. Some
timber-framing including gables to right and centre and part of rear wall on
left. Curved wind-braces to roof. Probably a single-unit cottage extended
to left in C18 but incorporating part of an earlier structure.
