House and cottage. C17 and C18. Limestone rubble with some brick and timber
framing; thatched and old plain-tile roofs. 3-unit and single-unit plans. 2
storeys. 4-window front has right bay of coursed rubble, and the rest uncoursed
with some brickwork at first floor. Tudor Cottage, to right,has door and window
(formerly 2 doors) between 2-light casements, all under segmental arches,
2-light casements and small blocked early window at first floor. The Cottage to
left has similar door and casement with a small window above. Thatched roof to 2
bays to right, tiled roof to remainder each with central stack and half hip.
Right gable wall of brick with 3 tiers of casements. Rear has a gabled dormer
and tiled rubble outshut with a small 2-storey timber framed and brick wing.
Interior of Tudor Cottage: Open fireplace with bread oven; 2-panel and plank
doors. Right bay probably the earliest.
