Barn 40 metres North
of Piggotts
Farmhouse

GV II

Barn, late C17. Timber framed and back weatherboarded with gabled peg tile
roof. Of 5 bays with central gabled midstrey on south side with later lean-to's
with pantile roofs, either side. Structure has unjowled posts, straight
bracing and halved and bladed scarf joints in the top plates. Arched braces
to tie beams and queen posts support collars and side purlins. Additional 'V'
struts support further side purlins at high level.
