Rectory, now house. Early C16 to rear, mid C18 to centre, early C19 to front.
Front: Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings; stone slate roof; brick
stack. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys; 3-window range. Consoles to flat hood over reset
mid C18 doorway to left with moulded stone architrave; early C19 six-panelled
door. Ashlar architraves to 6-pane sashes. One bay left side wall has flat brick
arches and brick architraves to 6-pane sashes. Hipped roof; rear stack adjoins
mid C18 block. Mid C18 central block: 2 storeys and attic, 4-window range of
coursed limestone rubble with gauged brick flat arches and dressings to early
C19 six-pane sashes and brick storey band; 3 hipped roof dormers; gabled stone
slate roof; brick gable end and ridge stacks; stair turret to right side
(previously the rear) has similar surround to C18 sash obscured by C19
one-storey extension with hipped roofs, one built up to 2 storeys. Rear block: 2
x 1 bays, of random limestone rubble with gabled stone slate roof and gable end
stack; left side wall has label mould over early Cl6 three-light stone mullioned
cavetto-moulded arch-headed window; rear wall has timber lintels over C20 door,
C18 two-light leaded casement and two paired mid C19 sashes. Interior: C18 and
early C19 six-panelled doors in moulded architraves. Hall open to roof has early
C19 dog leg with landing stairs with wreathed handrail, rising to first floor
balcony. Regency style dining room to front of mid C18 block has early C19
fireplace, doors and plaster cornice; mid C18 dog-leg staircase to rear has urn
balusters on closed string; two blocked and paired pointed chamfered arches to
early C16 rear block, which has original central chamfered beam on ground floor,
quartered chamfered beams on first floor and 3-bay queen-post roof.
