Farmhouse. Dated 'FB 1622 EB' on first floor window in the left gable end,
the 'B' standing for the Brock family. Late C19 alterations. Timber framed
core with crowstepped brick gable ends; now roughcast-rendered with a late C19
grey brick facade. Pantiled roof with glazed black tiles to the front slope.
2 storeys and attic. 4 windows, tripartite sashes with glazing bars; the
arches have been removed. Mid C20 wooden entrance porch incorporating the
half-round reeded columns and reeded frieze from the former early C19 doorway;
within are mid C20 glazed doors and the C19 rectangular fanlight. External
stack to rear and a second smaller external stack set against the right gable
end. The crowstepped gables have remains of original moulded brick finials;
the left gable has 2 original 4-light ovolo-moulded mullion and transom
windows.
