House, early C16. 1 storey and attics. Timber-framed and roughcast. Hipped
thatched roof with axial chimney, the shaft rebuilt in C19 red brick. Mainly
C19 casements, some having iron lights with very small panes. (lst floor
windows are low, beneath the eaves). Two C19 boarded entrance doors. Some
heavy unchamfered ceiling joists, arch windbraced studding and diamond-
mullioned window evidence. A good arch-braced tiebeam and coupled-rafter
roof. Possibly built as an ancillary range to Lawn Cottage, built corner-to-
corner with its service cell.
