Former farmhouse, C16 in 2 stages. 3-cell plan; the service cell is of cross-
wing form and perhaps earlier. 2 storeys. Timber-framed and plastered.
Thatched roofs; an axial early C17 chimney of red brick with a pilaster shaft
at front and back. Various C19 and C20 small-pane casements. C19 4-panelled
door at lobby entrance position. Unmoulded framing fully exposed. Large
unchamfered medieval joists in 1st floor of cross-wing perhaps reused; a
ladder staircase with triangular block treads, also of mid C16 or earlier.
