Farmhouse. Mid C16 with alterations of c.1600 and C19. 2 storeys, 2-cell
plan. Timber-framed and plastered. Double Roman pantiled roof with internal
chimney of red brick. Mainly C19 casements, some with small panes. C20 rear
entrance door. Substantial C16 timber-framing exposed internally. The 2-bay
hall has heavy 1st floor joists and an open truss with very steeply-cambered
tie-beam with arch-bracing. Coupled rafter roof. Large open fireplace in
hall with cambered lintel. The service cell to left was extended by one bay
c.1600, with clasped purlin roof, the formerly hipped end being converted to a
gable.
