Dovecote. Early-mid C18, restored C20. Coursed, squared magnesian
limestone, stone slate roof. 1 storey with half-basement, square single
cell. Doorway in south-west side has renewed door beneath plain lintel;
continuous stone ledge over door with small louvred opening above. Eaves
band to hipped roof with ball finial. Rear: battered basement storey with
recessed, square-headed doorway beneath deep band and shallower plinth band;
blind opening above perching ledge. Right return: stone ledge returned from
front with similar louvred opening above.
Interior: upper floor lined with nesting holes divided by stone blocks and
with stone ledges; C20 roof structure. Situated in corner of Rudgates
Builders' yard.
