Detached house. Early C18, altered and extended late C18 and C19.
Dressed limestone, tiled roof with coped verges and gable end brick
stacks. L-plan. Two-storey, 3-window south front has half-glazed
door in chamfered stone case to left with large French windows to
right and C19 two-light casement to left, first floor has plat band
and two 2-light and one single C19 casement, attic has two hipped
dormers with 2-light casements. To left is C18 two-storey wing
projecting to front with two 2-light casements to ground and first
floors; C20 conservatory in place of C19 conservatory attached to
gable end, first floor has 2-light casement and single recessed
chamfered casement, blocked bull's-eye to attic. Right return of
main range has 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements to
ground and first floors, 2-light and single casement to attic. To
rear is 2-storey range, possibly late C17, with sashes and late C19
two-storey canted bay.
Interior currently being renovated and remodelled (November 1985),
but retains C18 fielded panelling in room to right of entrance, C18
open well stairs with turned and square-section balusters, some
mullioned windows retained on former external walls, between C18
and C19 ranges, some ex situ fireplaces brought in during current
renovations (November 1985).
