of Lodge Farmhouse

Aisled barn incorporating timber framing. Probably C17, the walling
being probably late C18. Hammer dressed stone. Quoins. Stone
slate roof. Altered walls. Aisle in continuous outshut to east.
Outshut to right of 1½-bays, on west side. Square-headed cart entry
to left of this. 3½ bays. 4 king-post trusses with struts, on
jowelled posts, braced in each direction. Aisle-ties and aisle-
posts mainly intact, though some posts encased in wall. Truss and
posts to north part encased in gable wall. Wall plates, arcade
plates and 2 purlins mainly intact, though not all visible. At
south end roof timbers run into gable wall giving a ½-bay. Several
timbers have been replaced. Some alterations.
