BURTON DASSETT SP45SW Knightcote 9/19 Stockwell Farmhouse GV II

Farmhouse. Right range dated 1698; remainder late C18 with slight late C19 alterations. Right range of ironstone ashlar, patched with brick to rear. C18 range of raking Flemish bond red brick with string course to rear, and dog-tooth cornice continued across and round gables. Old tile roofs; C18 range has brick ridge and right end stacks. L-plan, with wing on left. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. One storey and attic range. Plank door in angle. Right range has 20 half-glazed door and porch. Wing has late C19 wood mullioned and transomed 3-light windows inserted in altered openings. Wood lintels. First floor of main range and attic have 2-light casements. Horizontal glazing bars throughout, Most openings have brick segmental arches. Right return side of right range has 3-light recessed-chamfered stone mullioned windows. Datestone with simple moulded panel has initals ILA. To rear: C20 casement. Main range has casements, of 2 lights to left and 3 lights to right, on first floor with glazing bars. Interior not inspected.
