Mid C19 terrace in grey gault brick with stuccoed dressings. Slate hipped roof. Modillion eaves cornice. Three storeys. Eleven windows, centre three and end one project slightly with chamfered quoins. Sashes without glazing bars, stuccoed architraves, first floor with triangular and segmental pediments, ground floor round arch windows and doors with keyblocks. Band at first floor level. Left-hand return to Princess Road three windows. Right-hand return to New Walk four windows.

Nos 1, 3 and 5, New Walk Museum, Nos 47 and 58 to 64 (even) New Walk together with Nos 59 to 61 (odd) Princess Road West and No 1 West Street form a group around Museum Square.
