GV II

Four cottages, now house. Late C17. Regular coursed ironstone rubble. C20 tile
roof. Rendered brick ridge and end stacks. Single storey plus attic. 4-window
range. Entrance off centre to right has partly glazed plank door with
wrought-iron hinges. Wood lintel. To left a 3-light wood casement inserted in
stone opening with fragmentary remains of hood mould and label stop. Similar
window to its left. To right of door a 3-light casement with wood lintel. Attic
has four 3-light wood casements. Interior: stone flag floors, stop-chamfered
beams and bressumers to inglenook fireplaces, one dated 1693. C20 extension to
front is not of special architectural interest. Included for group value.
