Cottage, attached wall and gatepier. Late C17 with later alterations. Limestone
ashlar. Steeply pitched stone slate roof laid to diminishing courses. Brick
ridge stack and end stack to left. Stone stack to right end. 3-unit plan. 2
storeys plus attic; 3-window range. Entrance to right has hood mould with label
stops and C20 door. Doorway is flanked by 3-light stone-mullioned windows of
splayed section. A 2-light and 3-light stone-mullioned window to left. First
floor has 3-light stone-mullioned windows. All windows have hood moulds and
label stops and lead cames. 2 gabled roof dormers with wood casements. Buttress
to left end. Flat-roofed extension to rear. Wall and gatepier. C18. Wall of
coursed squared rubble limestone. Moulded stone coping. Square gatepier. Moulded
cornice surrounded by ball finial. Interior not inspected.
