SO 50 NE WEST DEAN LITTLE DRYBROOK

GV II

House. Built in several stages, earliest part late C16, mostly C17
with some C19 additions. Painted rubblestone, slate roof, 2 stone
stacks and one brick stack. 'L' shape with projecting gable to
front, single storey room with stone tile roof to left and single
storeyed gabled extension to rear. 2 storeys and attic.
Projecting gable has cellar constructed of very thin coursed
rubblestone. 4 windows, including gable on left, wood mullion and
transoms. One small gabled dormer. Boarded door with small window
in angle of 'L'. C19 bay window in ground floor of gable end.
Room to left has glazing bar sashes with draw-up shutters and
hipped roof with king post. Some remaining large beams inside
house. Attic of 3-bays with collar and tie beam trusses.
