18th century with early 19th century additions at side and rear, and late
19th century alterations. 2 storeys, attic, and basement. Red brick with
chamfered rusticated brick quoins. Plinth. Centre portion breaks forward
with pediment, with high screen wall parapet. In this are 2 blank panels,
and a centre blank recess with rusticated arch. Wood ogee bracket cornice
with bedmould. Windows to main block 1:3:1. Flat arches, stone triple keys
and stone cills. Early 19th century entrance door in wood case. Porch on
return, south, with slender wood columns. Oblong fanlight with Montagu coat
of arms; the family occupied the house circa 1800. NMR photos.
