Row of 3 houses, C16 core, extended C18 and C19. 1½ and 2 storeys, 8
windows. Timber-framed, rendered. Thatched roof with axial C19 chimneys of
gault brick; thatched gabled dormer. C20 casements and boarded entrance
doors. Nos. 1 and 2 were formerly a 2-bay room, probably open to the roof,
with early or mid C16 crown post roof; square post with 2-way plank-type
braces. The building was a Workhouse in the C18, when No. 3 was added, and
extended and converted to cottages c.1836. Restored c.1970.
