Town house, later 2 houses with shops. C17, remodelled C18 and early C19. Rubble and painted rubble; timber lintels; steep scantle slate roof with sprocketed front eaves; brick lateral stack, stack on left and end stack at rear of No.10 (right); cast-iron ogee gutter; single-depth range at the front with early C19 wing behind No.12 and late C17 wing at right-angle behind 10. Two storeys; overall 3-window range. Mid C19 pair of hornless sashes to 1st floor flanking early C19 twenty-four-pane 3-light casement with opening central light. C20 copy sashes to ground floor left. Early C19 small-paned bowed shop window with pilasters and moulded entablature to left of No.10 and C20 repaired similar window to centre of 12 also with pedimented doorway (central to whole front) with C20 panelled door; C20 door in former wide window opening on the right. INTERIOR of 10 retains late C17 two-panel scratch-moulded door; late C17 or C18 floor and roof structures; heavy doorframe from rear room to courtyard, some dado panelling and early C19 straight-flight staircase. 12 not inspected.
