Bell Street TQ 2550 SW (West side) Nos 12 & 14 12/47

2. Early-mid C19 pair, each 3 storeys, 2 windows. No 12 stuccoed, No 14 red brick, recess on axis. Fairly low pitched roof, No 14 slated, No 12 renewed in modern pantiles. Eaves soffit with paired brackets. Sash windows with glazing bars except for 1st floor right window of No 14, a modern metal casement. No 12 has a modern shop front, No 14 an early C20 projecting shop front with dentil cornice. Rear: Wing on right, probably late medieval, formerly timber-framed, with brick underbuilding and pebble-dashed 1st floor; plain tile roof on south side, C20 door and window below large 3-light window in raised wooden surround; roof hipped with gablet, various additions not of special interest. Interior: Wing has plate at 1st floor level on south side and wall post at south-west corner.

Nos 8 to 18 (even) form a group.
